Professional Real Estate Photography is consistently receiving top ratings in virtually every online list about how best to earn money as a professional photographer. The real estate business is exploding, and consequently, the need for professional real estate photography has also gone up. The purpose of real estate photography isn't to sell houses to people, but it is to show the potential buyer how beautiful and unique the home would be to them.
By way of example, one of my favorite clients is the San Francisco Giants baseball team. Their season ticket holders want to have professional real estate photographs of their favorite players, so they ask me to take the photos together during home games. I have a great deal of fun doing it, but my primary focus is taking exactly the same lens on every different photograph, so that everything looks uniform. If I were to take the same lens on all the different photos, it would appear unnatural.
When folks come to real estate professional photographers, they need a cohesive photograph package. My basic job is to suggest a model, and show the customer how to use their lighting. Most professional real estate photographers already use some type of lighting set up to light their clients. It's just something that makes their photos more professional looking and visually attractive. I usually won't do the light myself unless the client requests it. I think it's important because it shows professionalism.
There are many other facets of professional real estate photography which I'm not going to touch on here. I am able to talk broadly about white backgrounds, black backgrounds, and lens choices. But what I'd like to share with you now is the reason why people choose to use a real estate professional photographers to get their real estate photographs taken.
There are many benefits to utilizing photographers to take your house buyer's images for you. First of all, most photographers will charge you a flat rate fee for the entire photography shoot (not per picture) even if you employ them for several different visits. Another terrific advantage to hiring professionals to photograph your home buyers is they already know precisely how to approach each individual in your photo shoot, so you won't need to waste time trying to figure out how to pose or how to hold somebody perfectly.
The final reason that people choose to have their home photos taken by professionals is because the results speak for themselves. You really can see what a excellent job the photographer did just by looking at the photos. When you're trying to promote your house with real estate photos, hiring a great real estate photographer is certainly the way to go.
